Amaka Onyemelukwe Elevates to Senior Director at The Coca-Cola Company

In a testament to her outstanding contributions and leadership skills, Amaka Onyemelukwe has been promoted to the position of Senior Director of public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability at The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC).

This elevation comes just three years after she assumed the role of Director at the global beverage giant.

Amaka Onyemelukwe initially joined TCCC in 2017 as the Head of Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability and quickly climbed the corporate ladder. In her most recent role as Director, she demonstrated her prowess in public policy, corporate communications, and sustainability, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and positive impact on communities.

As the Head of Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability, Amaka played a pivotal role in advancing sustainable business growth by establishing a robust public policy and sustainability agenda for Coca-Cola in Nigeria.

She also led strategic communication, and stakeholder management, and spearheaded impactful sustainable programs that created shared value in communities.

Amaka Onyemelukwe is widely recognized as a seasoned public policy expert and sustainability professional. With a track record of gaining efficiencies, enhancing profitability, and navigating complex operating environments, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to building sustainable communities that align with business goals.

Before her tenure at Coca-Cola, Amaka worked at Philip Morris International, where she served as Manager, Corporate Affairs. Her responsibilities included building relationships with governments and public bodies, executing regulatory strategies, and managing internal and external communications.

A graduate of the University of Benin with a B.Sc. in Pharmacy, Amaka holds an MBA from the University of Lagos. She has furthered her education at Harvard Business Publishing, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
