Coca-Cola appoints Omomeda Ashofor as social experience director for Africa

The Coca-Cola Company has taken a significant step towards enhancing its digital footprint across the African continent by appointing Omomeda Ashofor as the Social Experience Director for Africa.

Ashofor, a seasoned marketing professional with extensive experience in the advertising industry, previously held the position of Director of Consumer and Shopper Media at the global beverage giant.

With a career spanning various media agencies and telecommunications firms, Ashofor’s journey began at mediaReach OMD, where he held roles in media planning and research. He later assumed leadership positions at Capital Media Limited Nigeria and Airtel Nigeria before serving as General Manager at UM Nigeria, where he played a pivotal role in strategic management and revenue generation.

Ashofor’s rich background in media strategy, digital marketing, and integrated communications positions him ideally for his new role at The Coca-Cola Company. Tasked with elevating the brand’s social media presence and fostering deeper engagement with consumers, Ashofor will leverage his expertise to explore innovative approaches to storytelling across Africa’s diverse markets.

Equipped with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ibadan and alumni status from the Lagos Business School, Ashofor brings a wealth of strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and integrated marketing skills to his new role. As the Social Experience Director for Africa, he is poised to drive Coca-Cola’s digital narrative forward, reinforcing its position as a leading brand in the region.
