Digital Encode cybersecurity unicorn goals include expanding its global presence and launching a cybersecurity centre to enhance Africa’s cyber resilience.
Digital Encode Limited, a leading cybersecurity company in Africa, has set its sights on becoming one of the continent’s unicorns in the cybersecurity space.
Founded 21 years ago, the company has established itself as a top information technology assurance firm, and its recent expansion underscores its global ambitions.
In a recent interview with CNBC, Dr. Obadare Peter Adewale, the Chief Visionary Officer of Digital Encode, revealed the company’s intent to achieve unicorn status. As part of its growth strategy, Digital Encode recently opened a new state-of-the-art office in the Lekki area of Lagos, Nigeria, and launched the Centre for Information Security Intelligence (CISI). This specialised centre aims to bolster cybersecurity capabilities across Africa by providing advanced threat intelligence and enhancing cyber situational awareness.
Dr. Obadare highlighted that CISI is designed to proactively address cyber threats, enabling the company to identify potential vulnerabilities in clients’ environments and implement countermeasures before attacks occur. This approach strengthens the overall cyber resilience of Digital Encode’s clients, ensuring they remain secure against evolving cyber threats.
Through its innovative solutions, research publications, and participation in industry events, Digital Encode is positioning itself as a thought leader in cybersecurity, driving innovation and shaping the global cybersecurity landscape.
