The new data roaming service is designed to provide Nigerians with seamless connectivity while abroad, allowing them to share photos, videos, and stay up-to-date with both personal and professional commitments.

Whether for business or leisure, Glo’s data roaming bundles ensure users can maintain communication at all times.

Variety of Options to Suit Every Need

Glo has tailored the service to cater to varying needs and budgets, offering five different data roaming bundles. The bundles come in the following sizes:

  • N2,500: 50MB of data, valid for 3 days.
  • N5,000: 125MB of data, valid for 7 days.
  • N10,000: 1GB of data, valid for 10 days.
  • N25,000: 2.5GB of data, valid for 30 days.
  • N50,000: 6GB of data, valid for 60 days.

These options make it easier for Glo customers to pick a plan that matches their travel duration and data usage.

How to Activate the Service

To subscribe to the new data roaming bundles, Glo customers are instructed to dial *312# and select option 5 to choose their preferred data plan.

This process can be done either before departure from Nigeria or once the traveller has reached their destination.

While roaming is automatically activated for prepaid customers, postpaid users must first enable roaming services before activating any of the data bundles.

The validity of the roaming data begins as soon as the user arrives at their destination and starts browsing.

Important Notes for Seamless Roaming

It is important for subscribers to connect to one of Glo’s recommended partner networks to avoid Pay-As-You-Go charges, as the service will not apply if users connect to a different network.

Glo also offers regular notifications to help users track their data usage and avoid any unexpected charges.

The data roaming service is available on 46 selected networks across 40 countries, including key travel destinations such as the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Ireland, Brazil, India, and South Africa.

With this expansion, Glo is empowering Nigerian travellers with the ability to stay connected while on the go, making international travel easier and more affordable for everyone.
