More partners have lined up for the 8th annual Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) conference, including NNPCL, NLNG, FIRS, Lagos, Delta State, and others.
The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has secured more partners for its 8th annual conference, set to take place on October 3, 2024, at the Reverton Hotel, Lokoja, Kogi State.
Major organisations, including the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), have thrown their support behind the conference.
They join other prominent partners like Delta State, Lagos State, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and T-Pumpy Concept Limited.
Danlami Nmodu, chairman of the GOCOP 2024 Conference Planning Committee, confirmed the support in a statement by GOCOP’s publicity secretary, Remmy Nweke.
He highlighted that earlier partners such as the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Emadeb Group, and Dangote Group are also backing the event.
Scheduled to hold on Thursday, October 3, 2024, the conference will focus on the theme “Nigeria: Tackling Insecurity, Power Deficit, and Transitioning to Digital Economy”.
The keynote speech will be delivered by former Cross River State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke. A business luncheon with GOCOP partners will precede the main event on October 2.
Nmodu also mentioned that the conference will be chaired by Alhaji Yusuf Mamman, former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain.
Distinguished guests, including Lt-General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (retd), former Chief of Army Staff, and Dr. Aminu Maida, Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), will serve as guest speakers.
Panelists for the event include Prof. Rotimi Ajayi, Professor of Political Science at the Federal University Lokoja, and veteran broadcaster Ms. Debrah M. Ogazuma.
The 2024 conference aims to tackle key national issues while fostering discussions among industry experts and stakeholders.
Past GOCOP conferences have featured prominent speakers like Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, and Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, who delivered insightful lectures on topics ranging from national security to the economy.
