FrieslandCampina WAMCO, a prominent dairy company in Nigeria and a subsidiary of the Dutch multinational FrieslandCampina, has announced the elevation of Maureen Omi Ifada to the position of Marketing Director.
This strategic move comes in the wake of the departure of Chris Wulff-Caesar, the former Marketing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at FrieslandCampina, who recently left the company after over three years in the role.
Maureen Omi Ifada, a seasoned industry professional, officially assumes her role today after serving as the Head of Channel & Category Development (Sub-Saharan Africa) at FrieslandCampina WAMCO. With a remarkable 15-year career at the company, Ifada has demonstrated expertise in various roles, progressing from Brand Manager to Senior Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, and most recently, Head of Channel & Category Development.
In her prior role, Ifada was responsible for developing comprehensive marketing strategies across channels and categories. She played a crucial role in building strategic partnerships to drive sales, ensuring product visibility, and enhancing the prominence of FrieslandCampina’s offerings across diverse retail outlets.
With her in-depth knowledge of the company’s brands and operations, Ifada is well-equipped to lead the marketing direction of FrieslandCampina in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. This appointment reflects the company’s commitment to fostering leadership from within its ranks.
Meanwhile, Chris Wulff-Caesar, the outgoing Marketing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa, is reportedly leaving Nigeria to pursue new opportunities. Having served as a member of the Executive Management Team and having contributed significantly to the Consumer Dairy division, Wulff-Caesar’s departure marks a transition period for FrieslandCampina.
