At Meta Connect 2024, the tech giant introduced the Quest 3S, an affordable entry into the world of mixed-reality headsets.
Priced at $299.99, it offers similar power and performance as the Meta Quest 3 but at a significantly lower cost. This makes it ideal for users looking to upgrade from previous models, such as Quest and Quest 2.
Alongside the Quest 3S, Meta also reduced the price of the 512GB Meta Quest 3 from $649.99 to $499.99, ensuring more accessibility for tech enthusiasts and casual users alike.
In addition to hardware improvements, Meta unveiled upgrades to Horizon OS, enhancing popular 2D apps, spatial audio, and full-colour Passthrough.
Travel Mode, a new feature in the Quest 3S, allows headset usage while in transit. Future expansions will support usage on trains and in various positions, including lying down.
Meta also upgraded its Ray-Ban smart glasses, now featuring AI-enhanced speech translation and real-time assistance.
These stylish, tech-packed glasses integrate with Spotify, Amazon Music, Audible, and iHeart for seamless voice-controlled access. Meta’s continuous innovations aim to blend style with cutting-edge technology.
