Napoli Coach Rudi Garcia has said the club never intended to hurt striker Victor Osimhen.
The club had shared a video on social media mocking Osimhen for losing a penalty in their last game.
The now-deleted video angered the Super Eagles striker who is now threatening legal action against the club he led to the last Scudetto victory. This was after he deleted all photos of himself in Napoli shirt from his social media pages.
Reacting, Garcia stated that the player’s reaction to the video are understandable.
“Over the last two days there was a bit of trouble with some clumsy behaviour.
“Nobody wanted to be hurtful, not the TikTok with the video of Victor, nor Victor by taking his photographs down on social media.
“Nobody intended to hurt anyone, these are instinctive reactions and are understandable,” Garcia was quoted by Football Italia after the game.
