Rudi Garcia has been sacked by Napoli, the Italian champions announced on Tuesday, after a poor start to the season left their Serie A title defence floundering.
According to football Journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Napoli on Tuesday identified Walter Mazzarri as new replacement.
Mazarri returns after a decade to replace Frenchman Garcia, who was dismissed for allowing the team to fall ten points behind league leaders Inter Milan.
“Official, confirmed. Rudi Garcia has been fired by Napoli and Walter Mazzarri becomes the new manager.
“Mazzarri, back to Napoli 10 years later,” he wrote on his social media handles.
Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen, is one of the club’s players.
