Union Bank attains PCI DSS v4.0 certification, reinforces commitment to data security

Union Bank, a prominent and trusted financial institution in Nigeria, has secured another major achievement by attaining the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) version 4.0 certification.

This significant recognition is an upgrade from the previously awarded PCI DSS version 3.2 and underscores the bank’s commitment to upholding the highest data security standards and stringent compliance with industry guidelines on payment card fraud prevention and the reduction of unauthorized card usage.

The PCI DSS is the foremost Information Security standard for payment cards, designed to enhance the protection of cardholder data and related payment systems, ultimately aiming to minimize unauthorized usage and fraud. This certification marks a crucial milestone for Union Bank, reflecting its dedication to implementing robust cybersecurity measures that safeguard its customers’ data.
