The prestigious WARC Awards for Effectiveness 2024, in partnership with Lions, the renowned International Festival of Creativity, has officially opened its doors for entries, unveiling a new category for the upcoming edition of the awards.
Entrants are invited to submit their entries for a chance to win both regionally and globally. The competition spans five regional awards: Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East & Africa, and North America. Each region will be evaluated by a distinguished panel of senior industry executives using the consistent global frameworks of the Creative Effectiveness and B2B Effectiveness Ladders, with awards including Gold, Silver, and Bronze accolades.
Gold winners from each region will advance to the global stage, where a super-jury comprising all regional jury chairs will confer the coveted Grands Prix – the ultimate recognition for outstanding marketing success. The announcement of winners is scheduled to take place during Cannes Lions Week.
With the introduction of a new category, Strategic Thinking, the total number of categories for entry submissions has expanded to 12. The Strategic Thinking category aims to recognize the best utilization of strategic thinking in addressing clients’ business or societal challenges while laying the groundwork for future growth.
John Bizzell, WARC Awards Lead, commented on the awards and the newly added categories, stating, “We have built the WARC Awards to be the ideal platform for the industry to showcase why marketing matters – we want to see the best work that has delivered real commercial success and made an impact on culture.”
He continued, “The global reach and expanded categories of the new structure will create a comprehensive view of what effectiveness looks like now and allow our winners to truly call themselves the best in the world.”
As a proud ally of the Unstereotype Alliance, WARC will align with their guidelines, with the jury focusing on evidence of how diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) have been considered in the entries. Entrants are also encouraged to incorporate campaign sustainability actions in their submissions as the industry collaborates to address the climate crisis.
The deadline for WARC entries is set for February 6, 2024. Regional winners are slated to be announced on May 20-25, 2024, with the Global Grand Prix winners to be revealed during Cannes Lions Week in June 2024. As the industry eagerly awaits submissions, the WARC Awards for Effectiveness 2024 promises to provide a comprehensive view of contemporary effectiveness in marketing on a global scale.
